Koko to Green Bay

Koko is short for “Ko Ko Ro,” meaning “Heart, Mind and Soul” in Japanese. The logo is a Christian fish symbol to proudly display faith – faith in God and faith in downtown Green Bay. Fish also plays a key role in lots of Koko’s most popular dishes!

Great Team

Virginia Wilson’s keen instincts and creative energy formed Koko Sushi Bar & Lounge. While trained as an attorney, Chris Hanaway is Head Chef at Koko, manages the business and plays awesome string bass. Michael Harrison runs the front of the house, designs and writes. John Brickham is the trusted Financial Controller.

Renowned Sushi

Nationally known Sushi Chef, Gary Flood, taught Koko chefs his original recipes – Sushi American Style. Fresh, high quality ingredients prepared perfectly make you want to come back again and again. Shown in the photo is the Dragon Sushi Roll, one of Koko’s Specialty Maki.

Tree of Life

Miles Amorelli created for Koko the largest hand forged metal tree in the US made of recycled metal. The leaves were formed by many children’s and church members’ hands. The branches are an extension to all the downtown community and beyond — a gift from the John MacMullen family.
